Obituary

Joseph G. Geraci, 93, of the Kitanny Lake Section of Sandyston Twsp., died Saturday, November 10, 2018, at home.

Born and raised in Newark, Joseph served in the Army during World War II. Shortly after being discharged, he moved to Jersey City in 1947. When Joseph was in Jersey City, he was a part of the Knights of Columbus Family and he was also a Jersey City Bowling Champion. Joseph moved to the Kittatinny Lake Section of Sandyston Twsp. in 1972. Before his retirement in 1994, Joseph worked in the Garment Industry as a pattern making production manager. In his later years, he was member of Our Lady Queen of Peace R.C. Church, the Culver Lake Golf Club, and the Branchville American Legion Post 157.

Son of the late Guiseppe and Alberta (nee Alessi) Geraci, Joseph is predeceased by his wife of 70 years, Marie E. (nee Scerbo) Geraci, on October 2, 2017, along with his two brothers, Charles Geraci and Frank Geraci. He is survived by his daughter, Joanne Leppert, of Frankford Twsp; his grandson, Robert E. Leppert Jr., of Sandyston Twsp; his great-grandson, Joseph F. Leppert; his sister-in-laws, Marion Geraci, of Stillwater, and Gloria Zukosky, of Jersey City; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Funeral services will start Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at 10:15 a.m. at the Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main Street, Branchville, NJ, followed by an 11 a.m. Mass at
Our Lady Queen of Peace R.C. Church, Route 206 Branchville, NJ. Interment to follow at Hainesville Cemetery. A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2018, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
