Obituary

Carol Ann (nee Wallace) Goble, 78, of Newton, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018, at Newton Medical Center.

She was an active member of the Audubon Society. She was a past member of the United Methodist Church of Branchville and former volunteer at Newton Memorial Hospital. Carol had a passion for gardening, antiques and collectibles, British television dramas and was an avid reader. She had a love of the shore, yellow roses, Swedish home décor, elegant linens, bells and birds. Carol, a quiet gentle soft-spoken woman, continually displayed a sophisticated fine elegance in all she did. She cherished her family. She was a devoted wife, loving and deeply compassionate mom, grandma and great grandma.

Carol was born in Wantage Township November 13, 1940, and lived in Branchville for 13 years before moving to Newton in 1976.

The daughter of the late Edwin W. and Dorothy (nee Gould) F. Wallace, Carol was a loving wife of her predeceased husband, David H. Goble, on July 17, 2010, and two siblings, Edwin W. (‘Billy’) Wallace and Curtis G. Wallace. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Goble of Jessup, Pennsylvania, Carol Corey and husband, Robert, of Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania, and Kimberly Lavery and husband, James, of Valley Stream, New York; nine grandchildren, Michael Anthony Aleksandrowicz Jr., Rachel Lauren Rebeiro, Sarah Averyl Holfelder, Joshua Murch, Ashley Murch, Whitney Martin, Julianne Fedor, Joseph Fedor III and Sean James Lavery; seven great-grandchildren, Micayla Aleksandrowicz, Michael Aleksandrowicz III, Macie Aleksandrowicz, Vanessa Pirl, David Pirl, Jr., Logan Murch, Abigail Martin and Braden Corey.
She is also survived by two siblings, Gail Tringali and husband Roy and Edwina Jager and husband, Milton and many nieces and nephews.

Services and interment are private and under the direction of the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton. A future memorial service will be held, date to be determined.
